TARA & BEN | OWNERS

Tara is from Nashville, Tennessee and has spent her whole life in and around retail, following her parents in their retail footsteps. While Ben was born and raised in the Netherlands, and ended up in retail directly after graduating from college in Rotterdam.

The dynamic duo are very passionate about boutique retailing and their local communities. Together, they started several boutique concepts, including Zest. The idea was to have unique clothing brands and pieces that add a little “Zest” to your wardrobe.

Today, Zest has three boutique locations full of vibrant and exciting finds that our savvy shoppers can’t find anywhere else!

CAROLINE | BUYER

Caroline has worked at Zest for a three years. She is the buyer for Zest and our sister store, Lou Lou. Caroline’s favorite things about being a buyer for the company is finding beautiful and exciting pieces to bring into the stores.

She loves to hear how excited the managers get when their favorite brands arrive, and she is always excited to see a customer smile when finding the perfect outfit.

“It’s hard to just pick a few…,” but Caroline’s favorite brands at Zest are 525, Lucy Paris, and Sophie Rue.

EMILIE | MARKETING MANAGER

Emilie has worked with Zest for two and half years. She started back in 2022 as the Manager at Zest Middleburg transitioning into the Marketing Role in fall of 2023.

“Zest holds a special place in my heart. It’s were I started. I love seeing all the new items they receive and getting to come up with creative ways to showcase it on our instagram” she says.

Emilie’s favorite brands are Free People, Level99, and ShowMeYourMumu.

KAREN | MIDDLEBURG MANAGER

Karen started working with Zest in December of 2024. She was born and raised in Fauquier County near the Middleburg area. She loves Virginia and raising her family here, including her sweet German Shepherd.

Her favorite part about working at Zest is helping shoppers find the perfect outfit for a special occasions and styling displays.

“They’re all so chic it’s hard to choose!” says Karen. “I would have to say my favorite brands are Olivia James, Fifteen Twenty, and DAZE Denim.”

KERRYN | LEESBURG MANAGER

Kerryn has started with us back in 2018 at our sister store, Lou Lou Boutiques. She moved to Leesburg and started managing Zest in 2024. She loves working in town and being apart of the community.

“I have a lot of things I love about working here. One of my favorite things is meeting new people everyday and that we are pet friendly. Another thing is that we are always getting in new items! It’s like Christmas everyday!”

Kerryn’s favorite brands at Zest are Sadie & Sage, Free People, and Kendra Scott.

TIFFANY | RICHMOND MANAGER

Tiffany moved to Richmond, Virginia from Atlanta, Georgia to start her journey with Zest in January 2025.

On her down time, Tiffany is an artist. She prefers to use acrylic paints for her paintings. One of her favorite things about working at Zest is how friendly everyone has been and the creative people she is surrounded with each day!

Tiffany’s favorite brands are Olivia James, Gentle Fawn, & Betty Carre.
